Testimonials
These three days have been phenomenal. All the information provided by the instructor is excellent. Rules, position, angles were all covered. This training has provided everything needed to make me a better umpire. I will tell all my friends about it.

I had no experience umpiring prior to the Strike Zone classes, but after taking the three-day class, I feel confident of being able to step onto the field and umpire any game.

Joy,
Thank you. Thank you. My three days in Fort Myers with you
and Bob was amazing! I know working with my physical limitations was a
challenge for Bob but, he made certain my experience was not slighted
in the least. My time with Strike Zone was educational, challenging,
fun and an excellent way to begin my career as a baseball umpire. While
I was only preparing to start my career as an umpire in Little League,
Bob trained and taught me like a pro. Little League is now, just my
start! Bob Rocco is this umpires role model!

When discussing our Madeira Knothole Umpire Clinic among our
organization leaders, we hit upon the idea of making the clinic about
more than just providing information. We wanted to truly empower and
inspire our youths as umpires. To do that, we partnered with Bob Rocco
and his team at Strike Zone. They were great to work with and provided
the perfect combination in Max McLeary and Kyle McNeely as instructors
to deliver a truly dynamic training experience. I'm certain that the
education they provided through shared experiences, perspective, and
expertise both empowered and inspired, making for a memorable training
experience that will now always be with our umpires as they go forward.

Hello Fellow Men and Women in Blue!
I would like to take a moment and relay the great experience I
had while taking umpire training classes from Bob Rocco through STRIKE
ZONE UMPIRES.
Bob did a fantastic job of breaking down and explaining first
the rules to the class. Second and most important to me was
Bob's direct one on one instructions with "on the field"
positioning. He demonstrated and explained very well to our class where
to position yourself, and why. We were properly instructed that it is
extremely important to get the better angles so you are in the proper
position ahead of the play, thus preparing yourself to get the call
right!
This precise and direct information was applied under various
game conditions which prepared me very well for whatever the game
situation was. He followed this up with an example of a pre-game ground
rules meeting right on home plate, that has now become routine for me
prior to the start of any game. Bob then discussed our own choices of
equipment, good and bad, and how to always maintain our equipment after
each contest. He closed the day's instructions by spending some time on
the importance of a professional appearance that all sports officials
should practice.
I want to recommend the training classes with STRIKE ZONE UMPIRES
to anyone, coaches included. It really brought to light a few things
that I needed to be taught how to do the correct way for college
ball on up. There were also a few unwritten rules of thumb that I
needed to be reminded of, and Bob spent personal time with me for a
little tweaking of my positioning behind the plate which I really
appreciated.
Thanks again Bob and Joy (she is the brains and the food behind
the whole show). I intend on seeing my neighbor tonight after he gets
back from the field. He is the manager of both of his kids little
league teams, to tell him about this training that is available. I
believe their organization uses volunteer umpires so
I'm sure all involved would benefit from STRIKE ZONE TRAINING SCHOOL.
Play Ball !
Best Regards,
